InetSolution, Inc. Helps Compuware Ready Sandbox.com for Record-Breaking $10 Million Online NCAA Men

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., March 13, 2000 -- Compuware Corporation (NASDAQ:CPWR) today announced that Sandbox.com, a leading provider of interactive games, tested the performance of their web site with Compuware's Digital Test Solution. In preparation for their "It's Madness!" contest, running through the duration of the NCAA men's basketball tournament, Sandbox.com tested for site performance and user experience, successfully testing for user loads of over one million participants during the three week contest.

The $10 million contest, located at www.itsmadness.com, is one of most lucrative online competitions in the interactive sports games world. Participants select winning teams of each game throughout each round of the NCAA men's basketball tournament. As the tournament continues, each winning selection is worth more points. The contestant who picks the perfect tournament bracket wins $10 million. Sandbox.com, in partnership with Rivals.com, a leading online sports network, will also award $500,000 in prizes to the top 3,000 "It's Madness!" players, including a Pontiac Sunfire, to the first place finisher.

"The contest supporting the men's college basketball tournament is a very exciting project for Sandbox. We expect to exceed traffic volumes of over one million visitors," said Dennis Wodarz, Vice President of Software Development, Sandbox.com. "When the tournament brackets were announced, we anticipated a huge spike in traffic to the site. Compuware was the right choice because their combination of load testing tools and expertise gave us confidence that our site will perform and that our new users will have a great contest experience."

"Compuware helped Sandbox create a repeatable, consistent load test that mirrors the 'real world' traffic patterns the site will encounter during the contest," said Doug Turner, General Manager, Compuware QACenter. "We were able to duplicate those traffic patterns under test conditions and measure the performance of the site to help Sandbox.com make decisions that give them confidence about how the site will perform during the contest."

The test was performed using Compuware QACenter load testing technology. As part of Compuware's Digital Test Solution, the test was executed by performance testing specialists across the Internet from four locations, including three Compuware offices and one location hosted by InetSolution, a web hosting company.
